Registration and Payment

Private Lessons:

NEW STUDENTS may register for private lessons at any time during the academic year. If not registering at the beginning of a session, tuition will be pro-rated for the remaining lessons in the session.  Fill out our online lesson request form or call 816-235-2741 to request lessons over the phone.  Payment for the current session is due at the time of the first lesson.

RETURNING STUDENTS receive registration forms by mail 4 - 5 weeks before the start of each new session.  Returning students cannot be registered for upcoming sessions if a balance is due for the current session.  Payment for each session is due approximately 2 weeks before the start of the session.  See below for payment due dates.

Music and Dance Classes, Choruses, and Ensembles:

Register online or call 816-235-2741 to register by phone.  Payment is due at the time of the first class.

Kindermusik:

Register online or call 913-322-2151 to register by phone.

Payment Policies:

Payment for each semester of lessons is due before the start of the session.  2009 - 2010 payment due dates are listed below:

• Fall Semester 2009 (8/10/09 - 12/19/09):  Payment is due 8/3/09.
• Spring Semester 2010 (1/11/10 - 5/22/10):  Payment is due 1/4/10.
• Summer Session 2010 (6/1/10 - 8/7/10):  Payment is due 5/24/10.

The following methods of payment are acceptable:

• Personal or bank check, made out to UMKC.
• Money order, made out to UMKC.
• Credit or debit card:  Visa, MasterCard, Discover.
• NEW online payment:  Click here to pay online.

Please note that cash payments can no longer be accepted for Community Music and Dance Academy programs or fees.

Refunds will be considered only in extenuating circumstances due to death or serious illness in the family. A request for refund must be made to the Community Music and Dance Academy Director.  Refunds will be issued based on the number of lessons not taken, minus a $5.00 fee for processing.

Payment Plans

Your registration is not complete until payment has been made.  However, it is possible to pay in monthly installments.

Students paying for lessons in installments must commit to a full semester of lessons.

FALL SEMESTER

8/3/09 First payment due.

9/7/09 Second payment due (Half-semester classes must be PAID IN FULL).

10/5/09 Third payment due.

11/2/09 Fourth payment due.  All fall semester balances must be PAID IN FULL.

SPRING SEMESTER

1/4/10 First payment due.

2/1/10 Second payment due (Half-semester classes must be PAID IN FULL).

3/1/10 Third payment due.

4/5/10 Fourth payment due.  All spring semester balances must be PAID IN FULL.
