Private Lessons (non credit)

Private lessons are available in piano, guitar, composition, voice, strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. Academy students enroll in weekly 30-minute, 45-minute, or 60-minute lessons for the entire semester (or the remainder of the semester, if enrolling mid-semester). Fall and Spring Semesters are 18-weeks, and the Summer Session is 9-weeks. All lessons are taught on the UMKC Conservatory campus.

Group Classes (non credit)

The UMKC Community Music and Dance Academy offers several music and dance classes at just $12.50 per class! Academy kids classes are available for students ages 0-13. The Academy also offers adult classes for teen and adult beginners. All classes meet once a week at a predetermined time. Most classes are offered in 16-week sessions for the Fall and Spring semesters, and 9-week sessions in the Summer, with the exception of Family Music, which is offered in two 8-week sessions for the Fall and Spring semesters. 

All spring classes begin the week of Jan 22, 2019.
