Mission Statement of the iMPACT Center

The Intermedia/Music Production And Computer Technology Center, at the UMKC Conservatory of Music is designed as a creative environment for students to focus on every aspect of composing music acoustically and with computers. The spirit of the iMPact Center is one of creative and collaborative interactivity in both the performance and creation of new works. Two studios and the newly designed Intermedia Music Performance and Computer Technology (iMPact) Theater integrate electroacoustic and computer music with interactive performance, graphics, web design, and sonic spatialization.
