UMKC Conservatory Composition Students Chosen for Kansas City Symphony 2013 Reading Session


Congratulations to UMKC Composition students Nick Omiccioli, Yu Jiang, Kerwin Young, and Tyler Capp who have been selected for the 2013 Kansas City Symphony Composer Reading Session, April 8, 2013, 1:30 p.m. at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

Aram Demirjian, assistant conductor, will direct the orchestra in the following works:

TYLER CAPP Clang Redux
YU JIANG Dawn of Spring
KERWIN YOUNG Captain Paul Cuffe and the Traveller from Symphony No. 3
NICHOLAS OMICCIOLI Flourishes for Chamber Orchestra

Kansas City Symphony members will perform works by these composers, which is an invaluable experience for the students!

Congratulations!

This event is general admission; however, reservations are required and can be made at kcsymphony.org. Check in will be in the Brandmeyer Great Hall in front of Helzberg Hall. Parking in the Arts District Parking Garage for this event is $7 cash at the door.
