The Mystery of Edwin Drood

Release Date: 9/10/2009

The Conservatory of Music and Dance is pleased to announce that Music Theatre director Tony Humrichouser, with the UMKC Conservatory students, will present Rupert Holmes’ The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Based on Charles Dickens’ unfinished novel, this clever whodunit includes a fiancé missing on Christmas Eve and a cast of characters. This delightful musical will engage the audience as they get to choose the ending each night. The musical runs September 29–October 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Grant Recital Hall, 5227 Holmes Rd, KCMO, with an additional 2:30 p.m. performance on October 3. Tickets are $12 and $10 and can be purchased at the Central Ticket office, 816-235-6222, or www.umkc.edu/cto. All UMKC faculty, staff, and students, with ID are free. Buying a ticket will ensure a seat as the productions tend to sell out and ticketed patrons will be seated first.
