DMA Composition Student Lu Yun In the News

About the Conservatory

Second year DMA Composition student Lu Yun has two concertos recorded and released on CD/DVD recently, and two concertos programmed for performances in the 2011/2012 concert season. All these works have won composition competitions in Taiwan in recent years. However, it's the first time they have ever been programmed by professional orchestras  in their season concerts, outside of Taiwan.

1. Lu Yun: Lord Xiqin for erhu and Chinese orchestra Performed and released on Taipei Chinese Orchestra 30th Anniversary Celebration CD (2011)

2. Lu Yun: The Collection of Masks for pipa and Chinese orchestra Performed in YU Yuanchun Pipa Solo Concert, and recorded on DVD released by Beijing Dong Fang Company [A131100300] 2011

3. Lu Yun: The Collection of Masks for pipa and Chinese orchestra Will be performed by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra on December 9th, 2011 in Singapore.

4. Lu Yun: Music from the Mountain for Di and Chinese orchestra Will be performed by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra on March 6th, 2012 in Hong Kong, China.
