Bryan Pinkall (DMA, vocal performance, 2013) is working on the productions for Pope Francis' United States visit, Sept. 2015.  Pinkhall, who worked on production for the Sochi Olympics (more about that here), is working on the production of the Pope's Mass in Philadelphia.  The mass, which is broadcast live on many TV and radio stations and online, is 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27. Philadelphia is expecting 2 million people or more to attend the event.

Pinkall is assistant professor of Music at Kansas State University.  He notes, "As a child, I was fascinated by Pope John Paul II's visits to the United States, and I am thrilled that I will be able to be a part of this historic event."
