The Conservatory is pleased to note that seven Conservatory students are the 2015 Women’s Council Graduate Assistance Fund Award Recipients.
Christina Butera, DMA composition student, awarded travel funds to attend Electro Acoustic Barn Dance, 2014.
Sarah Hughey, Master of Music Education student awarded funds for Orff Training and Music Immersion.
Qizhen Liu, DMA, cello student awarded funds to participate in the 2015 Tchaikovsky International Competition.
Laura Lowry, DMA, vocal performance student awarded merit funds for extensive recording of an underrepresented composer of early German song repertoire.
Emily McGinnis, IPhD student, awarded funds for international research project: exploring the experience of women in brass bands worldwide.
Catherine Ramos, DMA cello performance student, awarded funds to travel to be a replacement faculty member at Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, April–May 2015
Stephanie Yu, MM piano student awarded funds for travel to attend Piano Texas 2015: Frederic Chopin “The Poet of the Piano,” and the 6th Texas State International Piano Festival.
