Conservatory Vocal Alum Brett Terry Appointed Interim Director of Music at Marquand Chapel

Brett Terry (BM, vocal performance 2009) who studied vocal performance with with Dale Morehouse and organ with John Ditto, returns to Yale University to serve as interim Director of Music for Marquand Chapel, home to the Yale Divinity School and Institute of Sacred Music's daily chapel service.

In addition to collaborating with clergy colleagues to build unique, diverse, and innovative ecumenical liturgies, Terry will also lead a team of organ scholars, choral conductors, vocalists, and instrumentalists. The chapel is home to several instruments, including one of the few meantone organs with subsemitones in the country by Taylor & Boody, as well as a 1931 E.M. Skinner organ, Hammond B3 gospel organ, newly restored Steinway piano, and an array of percussion instruments.

Terry works at the Scarsdale Congregational Church as Director of Music and Artistic Director of the Concert Series, as well as teaching, coaching, and freelance work. He also conducts a pro freelance choir in NYC, and continues to artistic direct the moveable house concert series there.
