UMKC Conservatory Vocal Student Brandon Russell Wins First Place for Kansas City Musical Club Scholarships


Conservatory vocal student Brandon Russell, who studies with Ray Feener, won first place ($1,000) in the Kansas City Musical Club Scholarship, and will also participate in the Wolf Trap Opera Apprentice Program this summer.

The UMKC winners of the KCMC Scholarships are:

Kansas City Musical Club Scholarship, voice, $1,000, Brandon Russell, UMKC, professor: Dr. Raymond Feener

Kansas City Musical Club Scholarship, piano, $1,000, Richard Jeric, UMKC, professor: Dr. Robert Weirich

Strickler Scholarship for Strings, $1,000, to Shih-Han Pan, violin, UMKC, professor: Benny Kim
