Composition Alum James Eakin, DMA, Has Performance at Carnegie Hall, And More!

About the Conservatory

James Eakin (DMA, Composition, 2007) will premiere his composition Flowers over the Graves of War, (the hour-long work that was his dissertation), at Carnegie Hall, February 20, 2012. Choirs from across the country will perform the work.

Eakin is currently composing the music for Visible Scars, a film starring Tom Sizemore, and he will compose the music for two other upcoming films. According to Eakin, he is Apple, Inc's go-to composer for its music. 

Eakin has had performances of several works with the Los Angeles Gay Men's Chorus, and has performances in April with the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. 

Eakin has also started work as a Voice Actor working with Wintner Artist Managment and Atlas Talent Agency. Eakin was an actor in Rock Star Games' Red Dead Redemption, which won Game of the Year and is available for the X-box and Playstation.  To hear Eakin's voice overs, visit www.EakinSpeakin.com.
