UMKC Composition Student Tatev Amiryan Residency and Performances in Connecticut
UMKC Composition student Tatev Amiryan has been offered an artist residency from Southern Connecticut State University, SCSU, April 2015. The residency will include a series of lecture/performances featuring Armenian music, given by Tatev in collaboration with soprano Anna Hayrapetyan, in commemoration of the centenary of the Armenian Genocide. Tatev will also give a concert with Anna Hayrapetyan on the Genocide day April 24, at SCSU Garner Recital Hall, performing Armenian music, including some of her compositions.
Amiryan is also invited by the University of Connecticut Music Department to give a concert with Anna Hayrapetyan, April 20, 2015. The concert is sponsored by the UConn Human Rights Institute and is designed to commemorate the centennial of Armenian Genocide and will feature Armenian music 1915–2015, including Amiryan's compositions.
