The Seattle group Choral Arts, led by the Conservatory's Robert Bode, was named finalist for its upcoming release on Gothic Records, Life Stories: Choral Music of Eric Barnum.

Robert Bode  was also named separately as a finalist in Choral Conducting for his performance with Choral Arts of the chamber music version of Brahms Requiem.

"However much the media may try to tell us that classical music is 'dead,' it is clear that is simply incorrect. If this year's finalists for The American Prize are any indication, the choral art is thriving all over the county, worthy of our attention and our support. Bravi, tutti," noted David Katz, chief judge.

Led by artistic director and conductor Robert Bode, Choral Arts is dedicated to performing high-quality choral music, commissioning and recording new works by American composers, and offering meaningful education programs.

Congratulations.
