Conservatory Orchestra Wins 2nd Place in The American Prize

The UMKC Conservatory is pleased to announce that the Conservatory Orchestra, under the direction of Robert Olson has won 2nd place in the college/university division of The American Prize in Orchestral Performance, 2014.

Among the judges' comments: "This is an exceptional collegiate recording."

The American Prize is a series of new, non-profit national competitions in the performing arts providing cash awards, professional adjudication and regional, national and international recognition for the best recorded performances by ensembles and individuals each year in the United States at the professional, college/university, church, community and secondary school levels.

First prize went to Baylor Symphony Orchestra, and third prize went to New England Repertory Orchestra.
