Conservatory Composition Grad Student Scott Steele's Work Performed
Two of Conservatory student Scott Steele's (MM composition) pieces were featured on the Pittsburgh Festival of New Music, May 2014. Both works were newly commissioned premieres. Conversations w/ Ligeti & Heidegger & Mom in the Background was preformed by Trillium Ensemble. The piece is a trio for flute, clarinet, and piano, all doubling on crystal glasses.
Prong is an octet featuring violin and viola with Pierrot ensemble. Duo Scordatura performed the solo violin and viola parts, and they were joined by the Alia Musica Chamber players.
