UMKC Conservatory Jazz Student Nate Nall Admitted to Prestigious Betty Carter Jazz Program


Conservatory junior Nate Nall trumpet, who studies with jazz faculty Dan Thomas, and has studied with faculty Keith Benjamin, is selected for the prestigious Betty Carter jazz residency program at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington DC. The program includes two weeks of intensive instruction with world-class jazz artists (including Jason Moran) as well as performance of original compositions on the Kennedy Center Millennium stage.

The performances will be broadcast live on the internet, March 5–7, 6 pm (USA Eastern Time).  Nate was selected through a blind audition process.
