FREE Duo Master Class: Vinson Cole and William Whitener

The UMKC Conservatory and Kansas City Ballet are pleased to announce their Duo Master Class, Saturday, April 14, 2012, with Conservatory tenor Vinson Cole and Ballet artistic director William Whitener.

Vinson Cole is a Conservatory professor of voice, and the Conservatory's Muriel McBrien Kauffman Artist in Residence. William Whitener is the Kansas City Ballet's artistic director. Their exciting master class gives audiences the opportunity to engage in the dynamic coaching process for opera and ballet.

Vinson Cole will coach Conservatory opera student Amanda Frederick, soprano, who is preparing a solo for Lucia di Lammermoor and Whitener will coach Kansas City Ballet dancer Nadia Iozzo in the title role of Giselle. The coaching process is a dynamic and fascinating practice and audiences of all ages and abilities will glean essential information and tips that may apply to all areas of life.

The presentation is followed by a reception with the artists, 6–6:30 p.m. THE EVENT IS FREE!

The event is 5 p.m. at the Michael and Ginger Frost Studio Theater, Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity, 500 W. Pershing Rd. KCMO.
