Conservatory Dance Alum Rose Taylor-Spann Has New Position at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet
The Conservatory is pleased to note that Rose Taylor-Spann (BFA dance, 2013) has been appointed as the Children's Division Coordinator at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Carlisle, PA. She will teach classes for students ages 3–6.
Taylor-Spann also has a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from The University of Oklahoma with an emphasis in early childhood education and pointe preparation. She was principal of the Lower School at Kansas City Ballet School where she was integral in the development and implementation of the school’s syllabus, choreography, program development and staging works for the Kansas City Youth Ballet and children in Todd Bolender's The Nutcracker.
In a national search, CPYB identified Rose Taylor-Spann as the perfect leader for the revamped Children’s Division. Taylor-Spann is an accomplished dancer, educator, administrator and highly educated professional who is uniquely qualified to help children master dance, musicality and coordination while facilitating their development of imagination, self-confidence and an appreciation for the arts.
