Conservatory Dancers Go Out on Tour
Thirty-one of the Conservatory's dance students travel to the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith to perform in the University's Distinguished Artists Series, under the auspices of the University's Academy of the Arts, October 25, 2011.
The Conservatory's dancers will perform a variety dance including romantic, neoclassical ballet, contemporary, and Ailey-style modern dance. They perform choreography from Auguste Bournonville, Antony Tudor, Jamal Story, and the works of Conservatory dance faculty Dee Anna Hiett, Sabrina Madison-Cannon, Ronald Tice, and Paula Weber.
The Conservatory's dance program has an equal emphasis in ballet and modern dance. Paula Weber notes that the faculty members pride themselves on producing motivated and advanced students who perform throughout their student careers and are ready upon graduation to join professional companies.For more information, please contact:
