Composition DMA Student Nicholas S. Omiccioli and Composition Alum Peiying Yuan Honored by Wild Rumpus New Music


San Francisco's Wild Rumpus New Music Collective announces that Conservatory DMA Composition student Nicholas Omiccioli has won a general call competition with his piece Invisible Worlds, which will be performed Dec. 10, 2011, ODC Theater, San Francisco, CA. Omiccioli's piece was chosen from 55 submissions.

Liza White is a co-winner with Omiccioli, and her piece, Groove III will also be performed Dec. 10.

Conservatory alum  Peiying Yuan, (MM, Composition, 2010) who is working on her DMA in Composition at Cornell University, has been selected by Wild Rumpus, along with 6 other emerging composers, to write music for Wild Rumpus, 2011-2012.
