Lauren Wells, BM, Composition, BM, Music Theory 2010, was the winner of a competition to score the documentary film about entrepreneur Henry Bloch, who in 1955 cofounded (with his brother Richard) H&R Block, the world's largest tax service company.

Lauren is an MM student at University of Delaware, where she studies with Jennifer Barker.

The film, No Shortcuts: The Entrepreneurial Life of Henry Bloch, which will be used in UMKC's Bloch School, is as much a visual case study as it is a traditional documentary, and will be used to educate and inspire future students as well as entrepreneurs around the world. It will also eventually appear on national television. The documentary uses the model of Mr. Bloch's life to show what it takes to succeed fully as an entrepreneur. From start-up to give-back, the entrepreneurial cycle is about much more than making money.

The UMKC Henry W. Bloch School of Management is nationally ranked, with distinction in a wide range of specializations, from entrepreneurship and innovation to real estate and nonprofit management.
