Conservatory Flute Students Win at MNTA
Two UMKC Conservatory Flute students recently won State Rounds of the MTNA Young Artist Woodwind Competition. Second-year MM/Flute Performance student Katie Howard won the Missouri State Round of the competition last week, which took place this year at Truman State University, Kirksville, MO.
The previous week, Senior BM/Flute Performance student Hannah Porter won the State Round of her home state of North Dakota, held at Dickinson State University, Dickinson, ND. In January, both students will compete at the Divisional level at the MTNA West Central Division Conference in Pierre, SD, along with the State Winners of the 6 other West Central Division states.
