The Conservatory Alumni Association is thrilled to host the first UMKC Conservatory keyboard studies alumni weekend! The weekend is packed with exciting activities culminating in the tribute concert Saturday evening honoring the legacy of both Richard Cass and the Conservatory's keyboard studies division.

5:00–7:00 p.m. Welcome Reception for everyone hosted by Peter Witte, Dean of the Conservatory, Chancellor’s Residence, 5106 Cherry Street

8:00 p.m. Optional Concert at the Folly Theatre, Vladimir Feltsman

Presented by the Friends of Chamber Music, which has offered a special Conservatory Alumni price of $15 for alumni. Feltsman, in addition to having a proclaimed “lifelong career dedication to Bach,” has proven his versatility with thrilling interpretations of the Romantic era. This versatility has inspired great praise; The New York Times described him as “simply an amazing pianist.” Feltsman’s thrilling program of challenging masterworks will conclude with his impeccable interpretation of Liszt’s robust Sonata in B minor.
