Conservatory Piano Student Victoria Fatu and Husband and Alum Cristian Fatu Perform In Missouri


Conservatory performance certificate piano student Victoria Fatu, who studies with Bob Weirich, and her husband, violinist Cristian Fatu, a Conservatory alum, are invited to perform at the Saline County, MO, celebration event of its Economic Development Strategic Plan, February 20, 2013, Marshall, MO. The keynote speaker is US Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II.  Other speakers include Missouri State Senator David Pearce and State Representative Dean Dohrman.  Distinguished guests include Kay Barnes, former mayor of Kansas City, MO, and Mary Jean Eisenhower, granddaughter of President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

The performance includes Chopin's Grand Brilliant Waltz, and Revolutionary Etude (op.10 No.12), Debussy's L'Isle Joyeuse (as a part of Victoria's piano solo performance), Sarasate's Carmen Fantasy and three pieces of Romanian folk music as a duo with Cristian.
