AUDITION REQUESTS must be received IN WRITING via the supplemental application form 30 days in advance of the audition date requested. Please do not email or phone in audition requests. You will receive written confirmation of your date and time approximately 4 weeks prior to your scheduled audition.

Dance Auditions
Live auditions are strongly recommended. Dance applicants may submit a high quality DVD with audition request if scheduling or distances are insurmountable; a live audition will be necessary later for full admission. Auditions after March 5, 2010 are not considered for scholarships.

Orchestral and Wind Conducting Auditions Orchestral and Wind conducting auditions are scheduled on an individual basis. Conducting Auditions may be scheduled by contacting:

UNDERGRADUATE & GRADUATE AUDITION AND INTERVIEW PROCEDURES
Please read carefully:
Audition dates and rooms will be confirmed approximately four weeks prior to the scheduled audition.
Auditions must be completed by March 5, 2010 in order to be eligible for scholarship consideration. (March 6, 2010 for Music Theater)
There is no fee for vocal accompanists.
Applicants will perform an audition consisting of works from the standard repertoire. Scales and sight-reading may be requested. More detailed information and suggestions are available from: http://conservatory.umkc.edu/students/repertoire.aspx
Non-performance majors are required to perform a 10-minute audition in their applied area.
