Graduate Degree Offerings

While many Conservatory graduates move immediately into a career, others venture into graduate studies. More than 200 students are enrolled in master's and doctoral degree programs at the Conservatory.

Graduate Advising Information

To be advised:

  • Students should make an appointment to see their advisor by calling the Grant Hall receptionist (816 235-2900).
  • To pre-register for an upcoming semester you should bring a copy or your proposed class schedule (to access information about courses being offered in the upcoming semester go to www.umkc.edu/sched or http://www.umkc.edu/umkc/catalog/html/cnsvty/. When you arrive in the reception area at Grant Hall pick up a copy of the registration form. Please fill out the information at the top of the form to the best of your ability before your appointment.
  • For other questions related to your academic work at UMKC be sure to bring any pertinent information related to your question when you come for your appointment.

 

When should you be advised?

  • Before enrolling for classes
  • Anytime you wish information about graduate study
  • During October-December for the following winter semester
  • During March-May for the following summer session and fall semester
  • During March-August for the following fall semester

  • Registration is through the online student system Pathway.  The address is: http://pathway.umkc.edu
  • You must be cleared in order to register. When you are advised, you will be cleared for registration through the computer and also receive a signed and stamped registration form.
  • You may register in person at the Registration Office in the Administrative Center
