Bella Voce is the UMKC women's ensemble founded in 2005 to provide students the opportunity to sing outstanding repertoire, representing a broad range of styles and periods. The group is comprised of about 40 singers formed by the most selected undergraduate women who are majoring in various areas including music education, voice, piano, music therapy, and musical theatre. The ensemble is designed to cultivate and encourage the development of young musicians who aspire to enhance their musicianship within a choral setting. Under the direction of Mariana Farah, Bella Voce successfully represented the UMKC Conservatory at the 2007 Missouri Music Educators Association Convention and the 2008 Southwestern Division American Choral Directors Association Convention in Kansas City.
