Conservatory Concert Choir
Dr. Charles Robinson, Conductor
Cory Ganschow, Assistant Conductor
The Conservatory Concert Choir focuses on the preparation and performance of traditional and non-traditional choral repertoire, including larger works with winds, keyboard and orchestra. Another emphasis area for this ensemble is the continued development of musicianship and the synthesis of component parts of complete music training that one accesses in the Conservatory. This 75-voice mixed ensemble is made up primarily of undergraduate music majors in specialty areas that include vocal performance, music education, music therapy, piano performance and guitar performance. The group is also open to all students at UMKC, and welcomes students who have selected majors outside music. The ensemble appears frequently at the local and state levels in a wide variety of exciting performance venues.
