Master of Music Education — Music Education

1. Gather your materials
   • Official transcripts demonstrating a minimum overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher in a completed bachelor's degree in music education or the equivalent.
   • Names and locations of previous college(s) and dates you attended.
   • Citizenship, residency and visa information (if applicable).
   • A current professional resume
   • Two references: List the names and contact information of your references, and the application system will send an email to them requesting that they submit a letter of recommendation on your behalf. Letters of recommendation must be received by Feb. 1.
   • Recent video recording that demonstrates your musical proficiencies as applicable to the music education setting. (May include your own performance or performance of students you teach.)
   • Following submission of these materials, applicants must complete an interview with the faculty. A member of the faculty will contact you to schedule this interview. An audition is not required. 
   • Transcripts and test scores may be sent in after the Dec. 1 Conservatory application deadline but must be received by UMKC Admissions by Feb. 1.

   • $45 for domestic graduate students or $75 for international graduate students
