Why Study Music at the Conservatory?
Abundant Performance and Learning Opportunities
The Conservatory puts on more than 500 events every year. This robust schedule includes concerts, master classes, recitals, workshops and large-scale productions, giving music students extensive, real-world performance experiences and chances to learn from live events.
Integrated Arts Prioritized
Conservatory students have many opportunities to train and perform across disciplines. We regularly collaborate with theatre, dance and even areas outside the Conservatory to bring ideas and projects to life.
Accomplished Faculty
Students in our music program learn from accomplished faculty members who are active in their fields and experienced in mentoring emerging talent. One-on-one instruction and guidance can help you hone technical skills and foster your artistic expression.
State-of-the-Art Facilities and Expanding Resources
We're in the midst of an exciting campaign to expand and renovate the Olson Performing Arts Center. This new addition promises cutting-edge rehearsal and performance spaces that will enhance learning, creativity and the overall artistic experience for music students.
Student Insights
Being able to go to a local university that has so many connections is incredible. Kansas City has so many opportunities, and I don’t think a lot of people realize the connections, especially if you’re wanting to go and perform.
