Katie Danner teaches Painting in the Computer for the M.F.A Professional Scene Design Program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  Ms. Danner was born in Shawnee Mission, Kansas in 1983 and spent childhood growing up in St. Louis, MO.  From an early age she started making models and drawing houses. After graduating from high school she decided to become an architect.  She enrolled in the University of Kansas’ School of Architecture, where she received her Masters Degree in 2008.  During her studies Ms. Danner received two highly coveted one year architecture study-scholarships: The Ewart Traveling Scholarship at the Edinburgh College of Art in 2006 and The Kansas City Urban Design Studio Scholarship in 2008.  Subsequently, Ms. Danner has worked as a professional model maker at Pipers Architectural Models in London, England. Since 2010 she has served as Lead Assistant for Theatre Consultants, the Professional Design Studio in association with The Professional Scene Design Training Program of the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  Currently she is working closely with Professor Friedman on the comprehensive catalogue of the works of John Ezell as well as on the installation design for the 2nd Annual National Theatre Design Review scheduled for New York City, May 2012.
