The UMKC Conservatory is pleased to note that composition student Hao Zou's Song on the Wind is the winner of the 2019 UMKC George Kemner Prize for Orchestra Composition Competition. The piece will premiere with the Conservatory Orchestra in the spring 2020 semester.
Yintong Liu's Cleaving the Wind and the Waves is the runner up.
