Dr. William Everett, Curators' Distinguished Professor of Musicology, is the recipient of a Partner in Excellence (PIE) Award from Opera Volunteers International. Dr. Everett was nominated by The Kansas City Lyric Opera Guild for his service and leadership over many years. He has served as Chair of Adult Education programs, including At Ease with Opera, the Opera Preview Committee and Opera in Eight Parts.
PIE honorees are recognized at the OVI portion of the Opera America Conference, May 2022, at which time Dr. Everett will receive the Partner in Excellence pin and certificate. This award comes as Dr. Everett retires from the Conservatory after teaching here since 1998.
