Jim Lammers received music instruction throughout his youth in Fulton, Missouri. He continued with his formal music education at the UMKC Conservatory, where he earned a Bachelor of Music in guitar performance. He has been a dedicated guitar instructor at the Conservatory's Community Music and Dance Academy since 1987, and has enjoyed teaching students of all ages.
Many of his former students now have musical pursuits in a professional capacity. Jim has also enjoyed performing as a solo guitarist. To date, he has performed for more than 1500 public events and private gatherings. He has released two solo guitar CDs, So Nice To Come Home To, which includes “elegant interpretations of romantic melodies” and A Winter's Night, which includes “a savory rendering of Christmas classics."
