Fall and Summer 2021 application deadlines

  • Graduate Saxophone Performance (Master of Music, Doctor of Musical Arts, Performer’s Certificate and Artist’s Certificate)
  • Graduate Piano Performance (Doctor of Musical Arts and Artist’s Certificate)
  • Music Composition (Bachelor of Music, Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts)

New students begin in the Fall semester for most Conservatory programs. If you would like to inquire about starting in the Spring semester, please contact Conservatory Admissions.

 

Meet with a Conservatory Admissions representative

We offer a variety of ways to learn more about the Conservatory. All visits are virtual in Fall 2020:

  • Academic Unit Info Sessions: a 60-minute group session with a Conservatory Admissions representative. Topics include degree programs, application/audition process, and scholarships.  See available dates/times here
  • Discover UMKC WeekAn entire week of activities and info sessions to dive deeper into what it means to be a Roo! Conservatory will present a Q&A session as part of the week.
  • Fall Webcast Explore the UMKC Conservatory: featuring Admissions representatives and current students.  Available to view on demand through RooFlix.
  • One-on-one Consultations: If you are unavailable for any of the options above, sign up for a a one-on-one meeting with a Conservatory Admissions representative. All meetings during the Spring 2021 semester will be virtual (phone or Zoom) and will last approximately 30 minutes.
