About
Belock has extensive experience as a projection designer, digital storyteller, and creative director for live theatre, music, dance, and events. His research interests integrate technology, movement, media, and music. Hailing from New York City, he has worked across the country on projects at Irish Repertory Theatre, Urban Stages, The Public Theater, Juilliard, The Princeton Festival, Papermill Playhouse, Goodspeed Opera House, City Springs Theatre, Eccles Theater, Notre Dame Stadium, Tuacahn Amphitheatre, Strathmore Music Center, and The Kennedy Center. He was the Associate Video Designer for A Wonderful World, the Broadway-bound musical about Louis Armstrong. Belock also served as assistant editor for the projection teams on Here Lies Love and Dear Evan Hansen and worked with the Blue Man Group NYC video team.
Belock is a versatile, interdisciplinary artist, holding an MFA in Integrated Media for Live Performance and a certificate in Arts and Cultural Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas at Austin. He also has a BA in Music; Film, Television, and Theatre; and Art, Art History, and Design from the University of Notre Dame. Belock is a proud member of IATSE United Scenic Artists 829. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and kayaking. He shares his life with his wife, Michelle, their son, Neil, and their golden retriever, Sydney.
