Concerto/Aria Finalists 2017

Congratulations to the UMKC Conservatory's Concerto/Aria Finalists, 2017.  The students compete January 27, 2017, 7:30 p.m., White Recital Hall.  The winner(s) will perform with the Conservatory Orchestra, Feb. 28, 2017, 7:30 p.m., White Recital Hall.  Both concerts are free. 

PROKOFIEV: Violin Concerto No. 2 in G Minor, Op. 63 (Chun Hang Samuel Huang, violin, Cheung Lin Tsu, orchestral reduction)

MOZART: Ch’io miscordi di te?..Non temeramato bene, K. 505 (Kelly Birch, mezzo-soprano, Erik Lawrence, solo piano and orchestral reduction)

LISZT: Totentanz, S. 126 (Connor Mautner, piano, John Livingston, orchestral reduction)

TOMASI: Concerto pour Trompette et Orchestre (Alberto Racanati, trumpet, Patricia Higdon, orchestral reduction)

CHOPIN: Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Minor, Op. 21 (Josiah Sprankle, piano, Christian Atteberry, orchestral reduction)

PUCCINI: “Ecco la casa...Torna ai felici di” from Le Villi (David Sanchez, tenor, Sophia Zey, orchestral reduction)

MOZART: Concerto in G Major for Flute and Orchestra, K. 313 (Michael O'Brien, flute, Patricia Higdon, orchestral reduction)

GOOSSENS: Concerto in One Movement for Oboe and Orchestra, Op. 45 (Cassandra Goodwin, oboe, Dan Velicer, orchestral reduction)
