Conservatory alum Wang A Mao (DMA composition 2016) has accepted a tenure track teaching position in composition at Xinghai Conservatory in Guangzhou, China.
Her composition To a Revered Bladesman for solo Pipa, was the the first prize winner, at the DunHuang Composition Competition for pipa solo and chamber works, July 2017.
Another composition, A Journey of the Full Moon for Chinese Orchestra, won the bronze prize at the fifth Composition Competition for Chinese Orchestra held by China Nationalities Orchestra Society, December 2016.
