Lorissa Mason, DMA student in choral conducting participated in the Chorus America Conducting Academy, Fullerton, CA, July 2017. She was accepted into the program as a fellow. All participants focus on two complete choral-orchestral works: the Haydn Lord Nelson Mass and the Duruflé Requiem, with a special emphasis on conducting and rehearsing string orchestras. A professional orchestra and chorus is in residence, and the Academy culminates with a final performance of both masterworks.
