The UMKC Conservatory is pleased to announce that David Thurmaier, Associate Professor of Music Theory has received a Fulbright Scholar award for 2017–18.
Dr. Thurmaier will teach and research in Brno, Czech Republic at Masaryk University during the Spring 2018 semester. His research will focus on studying collegiate music theory curricula in the Czech Republic, as well as the music of Leoš Janá?ek and its potential connections to the music of Charles Ives.
