Conservatory Welcomes New Keyboard Faculty, Meg Gray

The Conservatory is pleased to welcome Meg Gray, PhD, who will join our Conservatory piano faculty as an Assistant Teaching Professor in fall 2017, serving as coordinator of our undergraduate keyboard skills curriculum and teaching courses in piano pedagogy and musicianship.

Meg Gray has most recently been on the faculties of Eastern Illinois University (1998–2000) and Lincoln University of Missouri (2000–2017), where she taught piano pedagogy, class piano, and music theory.  In addition, Dr. Gray has been active at Lincoln University as the NASM Institutional Representative, writing and editing two self-studies for reaccreditation, as well as numerous progress reports and strategic plans.  She has been a clinician, presenter, moderator, and panelist at Music Teachers National Conference, the National Association of Schools of Music Conference, and the National Group Piano and Piano Pedagogy Forum (GP3).  Dr. Gray’s two music theory books for children, Piano Bridge 1 and Piano Bridge 2 are available through Alfred Music publishing company; she is currently in the beginning stages of another pedagogical publishing project. Dr. Gray holds a PhD in Piano Pedagogy and MM in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma.
