The Conservatory is pleased to note that piano DMA Xiangyu Zhao, who studies with Robert Weirich, is the first prize winner in the Missouri state level Young Artist Competition of MTNA’s annual national competition. Next Xiangyu Zhao competes in the West Central regional competition in January in Iowa City. If he wins there, he will be a finalist in the national competition, held annually at MTNA’s national conference, March, 2018, Orlando, FL.
