The UMKC Conservatory is pleased to announce that Keith Benjamin has been named Curators’ Distinguished Professor of Trumpet.
Interim Dean Diane Petrella notes, “Since joining the Conservatory faculty in 1989, the quality and impact of his teaching career is evident through the documented success of his students in national and international competitions, the presence of his former students on university faculties across the country, and the sustained, high-profile performance careers, as free-lance artists and members of highly respected professional ensembles, established by many former members of his studio. Professor Benjamin’s teaching career has been, and continues to be, of the highest caliber.”
