UMKC Conservatory's Crescendo: Dawn of a New Stage Outreach

The UMKC Conservatory is pleased to note that this year, our premier fundraising event, Crescendo: Dawn of a New Stage, is staging a free matinee for more than 1,440 metro area students as part of our continuing outreach, November 10, 2017, on the Helzberg Hall stage in the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

UMKC Conservatory faculty and students perform the repertoire—which is a surprise on the night of the gala—for schools from Kansas City, Raytown, Park Hill, Lee’s Summit, Raymore/Peculiar, and Liberty, MO; and Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa and Fairway, KS.  Students can expect to see and hear jazz, dance, opera, large and small ensembles, and a host of spectacular musical performances.

Crescendo is one of Kansas City’s premier arts events. The event has raised more than $1 million for student scholarships in the past four years. The concert includes an exhilarating 60-minute prism concert with performances in multiple locations around Helzberg Hall.  It’s one of the city’s most exciting performances.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. performance, which are only $30 for the general public and $15 for all UMKC faculty, staff, and all students with UMKC or valid student ID are available here, or, call 816-235-6222.
