Composition Alums Xinyan Li and Ingrid Stölzel Win Competition

The Conservatory is pleased to note that composition alums Xinyan Li (DMA, composition 2012) and Ingrid Stölzel  (DMA composition, 2009 and BM, music theory, 1995) have won the inaugural LunArt Festival 2018 Call for Scores competition. The committee received more than 90 submissions from 20 different countries and four composers won.

The works will be performed at the LunArt Festival, June 28–30, 2018, Madison, WI.  

The mission of LunART Festival is to support, inspire, promote, and celebrate women in the arts through public performances, exhibitions, workshops, and interdisciplinary collaboration; thus enriching our community and creating a welcoming space for learning and experimentation.

The vision of the LunART Festival is to empower women in the arts by fostering originality, honoring diversity, and strengthening equality.
