The Conservatory is pleased to note that composition student Qi Jing, a first year DMA student, is selected to attend the 48th Annual Festival of New Music at Ball State University. His piece Mercurial for alto-saxophone and fixed media will be performed during the festival. The festival had an overwhelmingly large pool of applications – 738 scores from more than 500 composers.
The festival is March 15–17, 2018 in the Sursa Performance Hall, Ball State University, Muncie, IN.
