The Conservatory is pleased to announce that in addition to having four soloists advance in the NASA Solo Collegiate Solo Competition, Richard Firestone, Jared Marble, Patrick Olmos, and Walter Puyear, two Conservatory quartets were selected as semi-finalists in the NASA Saxophone Quartet Competition. They will be among twenty quartets competing at the NASA Biennial Conference in Cincinnati March 6–8, 2018. The students study with Zachary Shemon.
