Conservatory Alum Ken Eberhart's New Role

Conservatory alum Ken Eberhart (MM percussion performance, 94) accepted the position of Director of Instrumental and Vocal Music for the 2018–2019 academic year with the Crossroads Academy Charter High School, Kansas City, Missouri. The Thayer Building at 9th & Broadway is currently in the process of being refitted to house the students in grades 7–12 who will attend classes in this very historic structure beginning in August.

Ken notes, "This is an all new experience for students inside the thriving fine arts community that exists inside the downtown interstate loop of the Metro Area. Partnering with administration, colleagues, and parents, I will have the opportunity to create an entirely new band and vocal program for students who will benefit greatly from music education, including strings, instrumental and vocal solos, and ensembles, band, chorus, jazz, marching band for parades, pep band, in middle school and high school level courses."

Congrats on this new journey!
