Dr. Andrew Granade Pens Article for Library of Congress

Andrew Granade, Professor of Musicology and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies was asked to write a short essay about Harry Partch's U.S. Highball for the Library of Congress for their National Recording Registry, a list of recordings that "are culturally, historically, or aesthetically important, and/or inform or reflect life in the United States."

Harry Partch’s U.S. Highball was added in 2004 and the LOC wanted an accompanying essay.  The LOC's request to Dr. Granade stemmed in part from his important book on Partch, Harry Partch: Hobo Composer, University of Rochester Press.

Congratulations!
