The Conservatory is pleased to note that Roo Horns have been invited to give a short concert at the upcoming Mid-South Horn Workshop, October 12–14, 2018, at Wichita State University, Wichita, KS. Only three institutions were chosen. Students performing include Lauren Harris, Tracy Bass, and Nicole Deuvall, who will also give presentations and lectures. Martin Hackleman, Artist in Residence and Associate Teaching Professor of Horn will be coaching and teaching as well.
25 years after the release of Hackleman's first solo cd, After a Dream, which featured Hackleman's original arrangements of works by Bernstein, Mahler, Kriesler, Chopin, Faure and more, they are all being published by Art of Sound, a world-wide publisher that specializes in brass music.
